Distinguished service chapter
He became a member of Phi Beta Sigma on June 17, 1977, crossing into Delta Gamma Chapter. He then reactivated Alpha Upsilon Chapter, serving as President, then was a founder of Nu Upsilon Chapter at U.S.C.
Upon graduation he joined Phi Beta Sigma Chapter and was an active member for 25 years, serving in various capacities within the chapter and on the Regional and National levels; eventually serving as the 19th Western Regional Director and National Director of Social Action.
Now as a member of Kappa Delta Sigma Chapter, Jeffery works tirelessly as an advisor to the Sigma Beta Club, the fraternity’s youth mentoring program and on numerous committees within the chapter. He’s the proud father of three adult sons and serves as president of the JD Whitmore Timbers Resources Group, managing a plantation of Lob-Lolly Pine trees in Center Point Arkansas.
