Bro. Carl Houston

Carl Houston became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc on April 08, 1979. He was initiated into Delta Beta Chapter, which was chartered at Cal State University Haywood, acting as the City Wide Chapter. He is one of the twelve (12) charter members of Lambda Kappa Chapter at the University of California, Davis. He was instrumental with the chartering of several undergraduate chapters in Northern California.

In his 43 years of service to Sigma, he has held/participated in regional and local offices/positions. Bro. Houston has served the fraternity as:

Professionally, Bro. Houston has worked in Law Enforcement for the City of Compton from 1983, advancing thru the ranks until retirement in 2017. Bro. Houston has one son, graduate of Grand Canyon University, a daughter graduated from Xavier University and a wife who retired from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles as an educator.
